Last week of school = Not much doc work done!!
I spoke with Flavin's second wife, she gave me some interesting information. I asked her if she'd be willing to do an on-camera interview and she said she would think about it. I'm very hopeful that she will agree because with this documentary I really want to get to know Flavin even though I will never really know him. I want to get to know him through the people that knew him and his wife is a huge step towards that. I hope I conveyed to her that I have the best intentions and hopefully my past docs can show that to her.

Introduction
Dan Flavin's career took off when he put a yellow light bulb diagonally on a wall. It was called Diagonal of May 26, 1963.

He continued to work exclusively with florescent lights and became one of the earliest and most important artists of the minimalist movement. For years I've been drawn to Flavin and his work and now I am creating a documentary about him. This blog will track my progress and will eventually have clips from shoots and interviews! Enjoy!
